2. What Information We Collect
When you submit a request through this website, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, mobile number, home address and postcode
- Your answers about your home: whether you own it, the type of property, whether you'd like a battery, whether you already have solar panels and whether it's listed or in a conservation area
- Which installer we matched you with, and the consent you gave them (including the wording you were shown)
- Your IP address, browser type and device information
- If an ad brought you here, the ad's click reference and campaign tags from the link
- The date and time of your submission
Where it comes from. We collect it directly from you when you fill in a quote form on this website. We don't buy your details from anyone else.
Do you have to give it? No. But the installer needs your contact details and address to arrange your quote, so without them we can't pass on your enquiry.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide for the following purposes:
| Purpose | Data used | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| To check which installer covers your postcode and pass them your enquiry | Identity, contact, enquiry details | Your consent (given when you submit the form) |
| So that installer can contact you about your enquiry by WhatsApp, SMS, email and phone call | Identity, contact, request details | Performance of the service you requested |
| To administer, protect, and improve this website, and to know which of our ads bring enquiries | Technical and usage data, including the ad's click reference and campaign tags | Legitimate business interest (security, fraud prevention, knowing which ads work) |
| To comply with applicable laws and regulations | All data as required | Legal obligation |
4. Who We Share Your Information With
When you submit a request through this website, we pass your details to one installer: the one named in the consent box before you submit, so they can contact you about your enquiry. Which installer that is depends on your postcode. The installers we work with are:
- Eco Energy
- HomeShield
- HSEnergy Group
We don't share your enquiry with any other installer. Installers pay us for each enquiry we pass to them.
Once the installer receives your details, they are responsible for them as a separate data controller, under their own privacy policy.
We may also share your information with:
- Service providers who help us operate this website (e.g. hosting, analytics, fraud prevention) — these parties process data on our behalf under contractual agreements
- Regulatory bodies or law enforcement where required by applicable law
- A successor entity in the event of a sale, merger, or restructuring of our business
Apart from passing your enquiry to the one installer named in your consent box, we don't sell or give your details to anyone for their own marketing.
5. Where Your Data Is Held and Who Processes It
These companies process data for us, on our instructions and under contract. They can't use it for their own purposes.

|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database that stores your enquiry | London, UK |

| Amazon Web Services | Hosts the web pages | Global network |
| Ideal Postcodes | Looks up addresses for the postcode you enter | UK |
| Twilio | Checks that the mobile number you give is a real, working number | US |

Transfers outside the UK. Your enquiry is stored in the UK. Some of the providers above are based in, or route traffic through, other countries. Where personal data leaves the UK, it goes to a country the UK recognises as having adequate protection (including the EEA, and US companies certified under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework), or it is protected by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
6. How Your Installer Is Chosen
We match your postcode to an installer who covers your area automatically, and show you who it is before you send your details. This match only decides who can quote. It has no legal effect on you or anything of similar significance, and you can choose not to go ahead.
7. Your Rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations)
- Object to or restrict the processing of your data
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured format
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@pockla.com. We will respond within one month.
8. How We and the Installer Contact You
After you submit your request, the installer we matched you with will contact you about your enquiry by WhatsApp, SMS, email or phone call, as you agreed on the form. SolarQuote Group may also send you one text message to confirm your enquiry and who will be in touch. SolarQuote Group does not use your details to send you marketing.
Opting out: You can stop receiving marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, replying STOP to any text message, or contacting us at privacy@pockla.com.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal information as follows:
Enquiry data
Retained for up to 12 months from the date of submission, after which it is securely deleted.
Marketing contact data
Retained for up to 24 months from your last interaction.
Technical and analytics data
Retained for up to 12 months.
10. Cookies
Essential. While you fill in a quote form, your browser's session storage holds your postcode, first name and matched installer so they can carry from one page to the next. It's cleared when you close the tab, and the site can't work without it.
Analytics (only if you accept). We use PostHog to understand how people use this site, including recordings of page activity that hide anything you type. If you accept analytics cookies, PostHog stores an identifier in a cookie and local storage so visits can be linked up. If you don't, we only count visits anonymously, without storing anything on your device and without recordings.
Our cookie policy lists each one and how long it lasts. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
11. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, please contact us at privacy@pockla.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
